Check Your Receipts: Cash Out Check Outs scams....

_ _ _ _

CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS BEFORE LEAVING THE CHECK-OUT

An associate bought a heap of stuff the other day while on holidaying in Melbourne (over $450), &  when he glanced at his receipt as the cashier was handing him the bags. He saw cash out of $20.

He told her He didn't request any cash and to delete it. She said he'd have to take the $20 because she couldn't delete it.

He told Her to call a supervisor. Supervisor came and said he'd have to take it.. he said  “NO Bloody way!”

Because taking the $20 would be a “cash advance” against his Credit card and he wasn't paying interest on a cash advance!!!!!

If they couldn't delete it then they would have to delete the whole order.

So the supervisor had the cashier delete the whole order and re-scan everything!

The second time he looked at the electronic pad before he pinned in his number and again cash-back of $20 popped.

At that point he told the cashier and she deleted it. The total then came out right.

The cashier said that the Electronic Pad must be defective. Obviously the cashier knew the electronic pad was defective because she NEVER offered him any cash after either of the transactions.

Can you imagine how many people went through before him and by the end of her shift how much money she pocketed?

His wife went into a “Coles Warehouse” last week. She had her items rung up by the cashier. The cashier hurried her
along and didn't give her a receipt. She asked the cashier for the receipt and the cashier seemed annoyed but gave it to her.

She didn't look at her receipt until later that night when back at their Hotel. The receipt showed that she had asked for $20 cash. SHE DID NOT ASK FOR ANY CASH, NOR WAS SHE GIVEN IT!

So she called “Coles” who investigated but could not see the cashier pocket the money.

When back in NZ they then spoke with a friend who works for one of the banks; they told them that this was a “new scam” that was bound to come to NZ, especially around Christmas time.

The cashier will key in that you asked for cash and then hand it to one of her friends when they next come through the check-out queue.

This is NOT limited to Coles; they are just one of the largest retailers so have the most incidents.

I wonder how many "seniors" have been, or will be, "stung" by this one?????

To make matters worse ...  THIS SCAM CAN BE DONE ANYWHERE, AT ANY RETAIL OR WHOLESALE LOCATION!!!

IT COULD HAPPEN ANYWHERE. CHECK YOUR RECEIPT BEFORE LEAVING THE CHECK-OUT. .......

I've since seen people do just that….. SO NOW I'LL START!

PASS THIS ON TO YOUR FRIENDS, KIDS, LOVED ONES - let’s not get ripped off.

The Live in Boston Who

Just received in the mail today The Who live in Boston two years after Johns passings. Watching/Listing/Grasping this concert is sad but full of Who_hit_you_in_the_face STUFF that rocks as hard as any pass Who concert with John, with Keith, Pete and Roger giving it all out. I remember Pete quoting he needed to work harder to fill in Keith's gaps and then even harder for John's parts. 5.15 I fully understand for John, but since Keith John "Rabbit" Bundrick has been there most of the time and been a fill in realitly. The concert I bought on LP after keith death was The Rocks America and i didn't like the sound, it wasn't The Who and Twist and Shout should of most definitely been left out of something that already bad both in sound no real thrill to me, it was album I didn't put on for the un-knowledged Who Brian Adams,/AC/DC/ Metalica rockers, Who Rocked America was something I would of influenced that group rockers. The only real thing for those people was Live at Leeds and Quadrophenia that they never really struck them as it should have, anyway I was happy with the pass Who albums then of  It's Hard I really liked as missing Keith Who album, Pete's solo's were extraordinary that for sometime I faded away in any Who activity thinking they'd did their last concert with Rock America.

One New Year, live on ABC here in Australia a live performance of Tommy really struck me with the WOW Factor The Who, they're back, strong as ever, is there going to be more? (What Tommy concert was that with Paddy La-belle with her hair higher then Marge Simpson and other artist, like to get a copy of that too if anyone can fill me in ta). Anyhow having that on VHS Hi-Fi and played constantly had me back into The Who, after it was Tommy movie that got me into The Who in the first place although my sister disputes that with my brother and mates having jam sessions and constant albums playing in between that I took part in their small ceremony mourning the loss of Keith. I don't remember, I was only ten when Keith died but remember really good music in my  childhood and not much commercial stuff, Count Down a weekly show with live bands was the closest to radio music I listened to, except maybe Suzi Quatro I remember being mad about, but not The Who until I was 14 maybe 15 when I seen Tommy at a friends place on tape.

What really got me into gathering live Who concerts lately was when I captured off TV (DVD in later years though) The Royal Albert Hall and Guess and this concert was my Who seller to the Metalica and other hard bands, it didn't take them away from the loved bands, I didn't expect it to, but I got their thumbs of approvals and request even, "you know? the part where the bass players goes right off, play that" or "hey that guitarist can hit those notes," Zacs way better then Ringo" etc etc.....

The Live in Boston concert was promoted on the eBay page as

Magnificent late period show from one of the all-time great bands.

This was their first tour after John Entwistle's heart attack in a Las Vegas hotel in June 2002. Captured in Boston, the band plays for their lives - Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend turn back the clock with a ferocity that has to be seen to be believed. I saw the Aus tour following this one, and I can tell you this DVD captures their sound at the time.

The set list has hits and guests to burn and includes "I Can't Explain," "Pinball Wizard," "My Generation," "Baba O'Reily," and many others. Extras include an Art Gallery of 23 of John Entwistle’s drawings accompanied by an audio interview with Townshend.

I couldn't let it slip pass for $10 and $6 shipping and received it in a couple of days. I Can't Explain Was The Who Smashing Explosive Musical Sound out into 5.1 as good as I've ever seen from ISLE of Wright, Royal Albert Hall and  the concert Journey that I was getting nervous about Pino and what's gong to happen through 5.15. I'm afraid, I felt all cut up, sad, not blaming the choice of bassist as there are no replacement for John, but John not being there playing his master thumble finger solo was just taken away. So maybe I'm at the age, although it has taken ten years, that some of you guys would of went through when Keith died then seeing or hearing The Who, that as much as I wish Keith was still up there and rocking with The Who, I probably just got the lost of John feeling although I was expecting it. Weird thing is I have a YouTube playlist of a bootleg video of The Who at the Melbourne Grand Prix, maybe the quality didn't grab me. But over all, it's a great I grabbed this DVD, hope that Quadrophenia tour happens and they bring it down under, because I'm going, definitely.

Ok, sorry for boring you all, have a nice day ;)

Osprey fishing.....This is Spectacular, Great Catch

First sequence he catches half a dozen fish in one strike.

Second sequence he plunges talons into deep water right to the bottom to grab what looks like a Sole. (they hatch upright, but then roll over and their eyes move to the top side).

Third sequence he captures a big old fat fish (looks like a Trout) that looks as if it weighs more than he does!
